"This place is so beautiful", I say several times to my companion as we enjoy our fresh smoothies in a cosy atmosphere. The restaurant & café Was wir wirklich lieben (What we really love) is a charming addition to Hamburg's Hegestraße.

Here you can find healthy and regional but above all delicious food! A perfect start to the day: superfood bowls with homemade granola and fresh berries or heavenly breakfast variations with avocado hummus, vegan cheese and beetroot bulgur.

The selection of sandwiches and soups on the menu or the counter with creatively prepared raw vegetable salads also whet your appetite. All seasonal vegetables come from the Kastanienhof in the Lüneburg Heath - regionality and sustainability are very important at Was wir wirklich lieben.

The open spaces on two levels are decorated in warm colours, and wooden tables mix with comfortable sofas and armchairs. The pretty wicker lamps, the large family table and the wooden crates bulging with colourful vegetables make guests feel at home.
