The Stue is one of the few hotels that Berlin actually needed. It quickly became a new hot spot despite, or maybe even because of its unconventional and rather hidden Tiergarten location. And one thing is for sure: as far as hotels are concerned, it doesn't get any more elegant and nonchalant all at the same time.
The Stue bar, facing the Berlin Zoo, is my current go-to place in town and definitely among the tops of my all-time favorites. The wide and open space resembles an extended living room and gives off nothing but homey vibes. It feels like you're over at your friend's place, only with much better drinks.
The boss behind the bar, who had worked at London's Savoy for 12 years and had been responsible of mixing and serving Queen Mum's Gin Tonic, has put together an unconventionally diverse list of drinks. My favorite so far is the Sloe Gin Fizz which gets its unique flavor from British Sloe Gin and outshines any other drink tastewise.
Friday and Saturday nights involve DJs alongside a very appealing mixture of people, from Berlin natives to hotel guests, and a very relaxed and inspiring atmosphere. Overall, the Stue is simply stunning!
