Mochi are the famous sweet rice cakes that are traditionally eaten in Japan, especially at New Year. The four friends Eduard and Nicole Dimant, Tobias Müller and Sandra Jedliczka have named their restaurant Mochi after the sticky dessert. Inspired by their fascination for Japanese culture and driven by a love of togetherness, they have been serving Japanese cuisine with international influences here on Praterstraße in Vienna for eight years now.

In keeping with traditional Japanese pub culture, Mochi focuses on happy togetherness and a nice evening with friends and family. And so, the exquisite dishes find their place in the middle of the table according to the sharing principle. They are served immediately after preparation - it doesn't get much fresher than that. The plates are arranged with Japanese precision and international ingredients - modern Japanese fusion cuisine at its best.

The menu at Mochi is complemented by classic sushi rolls and exciting new creations, such as the "Crunchy Sushi Pizza". And because friendship is a priority here, the menu also includes the sushi creation "My best friend", a delicious homage to the Kuchi in Berlin by successful restaurateur Duc Ngo.

And as befits true friends, the self-proclaimed mochis also like to share. That's why you can find their most popular dishes to try in the specially published cookbook Izakaya. If you don't want to wait until the evening, the business lunch from 11.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. is also popular during the week!
