Tante T Make that a tea for two, please
Today I was invited to a very special place. 'Tante T' - a tea company with a few tea salons around the city. This past summer 'Tante T' opened a tea salon in the 'Museum of Copenhagen' situated in a beautiful old historic building from 1787. It is open every day from 10.00-17.00 but you do not want to miss out on the afternoon tea served every day between 12.00-17.00.
Tante T has its very own tea menu and the staff will do their best to guide you to pick just the tea for you. Cool mint is my all time favorite tea – I simply love this tea. The afternoon tea is served on a tree storage porcelain tray complete with several cakes, cucumber sandwiches, scones, jelly, jam and fresh fruit – just like in England. Everything is freshly baked and tastes delicious.
If you feel you need a break from the hectic and loud city – this is the place! The room is just so beautiful and there is a big palm tree in the middle among old furniture’s, chandeliers, statures and golden frames on the wall. You feel like you are in another world surrounded by a piece of history in Copenhagen.
