Tradiotionally Danish ‘Smørrebrød’ - open-faced sandwiches - has been around for more than 300 years. But back in 2007 Lo Østergaard and Rud Christiansen decided to make their very own version of the traditionally ‘smørebrød’, so they introduced smushies.

Smushi is bite sized open-faced sandwishes and the word smushi is made by combining the two words ‘smørrebrød’ and sushi. So much work goes into every little bite. It’s petite and tasty at the same time, and the small size makes it possible for you to order many small 'smushie's' and taste the great variety on the menu.

The café is hidden in an alley between the two flagship stores of ‘Gerorg Jensen’ and ‘Royal Copenhagen’. Outside the café you can enjoy your meal and hot drinks all year around – but the true beauty is inside the café. The room will blow you away and the walls are filled with beautiful art and shelves filled with cute decor, cookbooks  and pieces you can shop.  The café also sells their own cookbook if you would like to make your own smushi’s and impress your friends and family.
