Bikini Berlin Collectable 2022 x Esther Perbandt Phone Fashion for Enthusiasts

Every year, the concept shopping mall creates a design item with a creative talent as part of Bikini Berlin "Collectables" collaboration. This year, they were able to win over the famous German designer Esther Perbandt.

The black Phone Purse not only goes with everything, but it's also super practical because you can simply wear it crossbody - perfect for always having your hands accessible for a fist bump (handshakes are history) or a drink. Also super practical: the card slots on the back have enough space for your ID, credit card, etc.

Of course, it's not just the practicality of the fabulous Phone Purse that convinces us: The material made of soft, chrome-free tanned leather, the playful cord with large handmade wooden beads made of teak wood, the large metal carabiner give it and us a casual look. Perfect not only for everyday wear but also for a business meeting. The colour black always goes with everything anyway.

Not only ultra-practical but also ultra-stylish - and "So Berlin!" to boot. Because if Berlin had a uniform, it would definitely be "All Black everything". The minimalist-urban design of the Phone Purse ties in with past Bikini Berlin collaborations with William Fan, who created the Birthday Bag (2019) and the Key Wallet (2021). 

Berlin-born Esther Perbandt tells us about the Phone Purse: "Many years ago, I made this very Phone Purse myself for one of my fashion shows, because I needed to have the timer of my mobile phone within reach to send the models out onto the catwalk at the correct second intervals. But I also needed my hands accessible because I had to do the final touches on the outfits simultaneously. Since then, I have been asked about this Phone Purse almost daily. Thanks to the cooperation with Bikini Berlin, this exceptional piece can finally go into production and make many more people happy.

In March, you can also immerse yourself in the world of Esther Perbandt at the concept shopping mall itself, where an event space on the ground floor will be transformed into an XL version of the new collectable accessory. The sale of the iconic Phone Purse starts at the Berlin Fashion Week on 14 March 2022 and is strictly limited. For 119 euros, the "Collectable" is available in Esther Perbandt's online shop and in Bikini Berlin's LNFA shop. So finally, our smartphone becomes a fashion statement piece!
