Enchanting blossoms in all imaginable shapes and colours, along with a fresh, beguiling scent - flowers are able to cheer us up in any mood and cast a magical spell over people. This is also the case for "flower daughter" Tessa Petzoldt. But it's not just her. Her parents and even her grandfather before them were addicted to the trade of delicate ornaments.

No wonder that Tessa absorbed the unique scent of fresh flowers with her mother's milk, so to speak, as she was born into a veritable florist dynasty: her grandfather, Hans Petzoldt, ran a total of six flower shops in the 1960s, her parents did the same, and after a diversion in her career, Tessa also opened her first own flower shop in Eppendorf in 2010.

The flower trade is undoubtedly not an accessible business, but the smell of fresh flowers when she enters the cold store in the morning still makes Tessa happy. And because it's even nicer and more trusting to work together in a family, Tessa's brother Robin also jumped into the boat and is now part of the team. Even Tessa's husband takes care of the desk work in the office.

Meanwhile, Tessa takes care of the practical side of things and, together with her team of 20, makes sure that all customers are happy, from simple wreath arrangements to pompous bouquets for birthdays and elegant wedding decorations. In their shops, you can also find everything for the urban jungle at home, from houseplants to garden and balcony plants or vases, ceramic pots, Vierländer potting soil and much, much more.

Lush bouquets, delicate arrangements and, of course, individual fresh cut flowers are not only available in the three shops of the Flower Daughter but also on Tuesdays and Fridays at the beautiful Isemarkt, on Wednesdays at the market in Grelckstraße and on Saturdays in Grundstraße. What is the saying? The blossom does not fall far from the stem - or so...
