.How to get there
True to the motto "wine, food, love", the wine bar Blaue Libelle in Hans-Sachs-Straße in the Glockenbachviertel inspires with European natural wines and Mediterranean dishes. The oriental ambience also creates a relaxed beach bar vibe.
Once considered the drink of the gods, wine is now an integral part of every restaurant menu. The wine bar Blaue Libelle in the Glockenbachviertel specialises in how special the wine can taste when grown biodynamically.
Since April 2022, the bar has been offering over 100 wines, including rarities and classics from Europe, alongside young, wild, natural wines with the highest sustainability standards. The trendy wines are selected and served by owner and sommelier Maximilian Ergert. He runs the Blaue Libelle together with Ayoub Azzabi and Robert Eibel.
The concept is based on holistic gastronomy. This means that to match the exclusive wines, there are first-class pizzas and Mediterranean-modern dishes that are meant to be shared. Our highlights: The Amalfi lemon carpaccio with tomato, leek and quinoa and the baked cauliflower with chilli mayo, rocket and almonds.
Blue Dragonfly chef Kaan Erbatu knows how to whip up light, creative dishes that taste fantastic and are predominantly made with local, plant-based ingredients. Sicilian pizza chef Giacomo also spoils guests with crispy, fluffy pizzas, whether with truffle toppings, seafood, classic salami or in the veggie version with tomato and buffalo mozzarella.
The dishes in the Blaue Libelle taste just as good as the selected wines. Particularly charming: the logo of the restaurant in the shape of a blue dragonfly, whose abdomen resembles a corkscrew in a spiral.
The matching ambience for the excellent Mediterranean cuisine consists of blue, shiny tiles, large bast lamps, shapely wooden chairs, rough concrete walls and chic ceramic accessories. Add to that candlelight, lounge music and DJ performances on weekends - Orient meets Ibiza, if you will.
The mix of hip flair, good wines and cocktails, as well as delicious food and very cordial service, goes down so well in Munich that a reservation for the Blaue Libelle is definitely recommended. The good things in life are also the most sought-after.
