Hmmm cheesecake. It is a classic and the secret star on every coffee table. Heavenly creamy - whether from the sheet, with a cookie base or completely without a base. Some of the cheesecake recipes in this list have been passed down from grandmothers and developed to perfection over the years. Also the best original American Cheesecake, as directly from New York or the legendary Cheesecake Factory, got identified by us.
The only question that remains is why the cheesecake is actually called cheesecake, when there is no cheese in it at all!? In fact, this is not quite true, after all, the basic ingredient of a classic cheesecake is curd. And that was still called cheese in the vernacular a few centuries ago. With cheesecake, whose main ingredient is cream cheese after all, this becomes clearer. And yet, vegans also get their money's worth in our list.
After all, most cheesecake bakers now have egg-free and curd-free alternatives up their sleeves. We have gone in search of the most delicious and diverse cheesecakes and cheesecakes in Berlin and are happy to share our personal favorites with you in this list. If you are looking for other cakes, we recommend our Top 10 of the most beautiful cafés in Berlin.

The name says it all. Princess Cheesecake has everything a cheesecake heart could desire. The German classic is twice as high as usual and available in various degrees of sweetness and even with honey or agave syrup as an alternative to refined sugar. The New York Cheesecake is traditionally creamy and modeled after the legendary Cheesecake Factory in Venice. The vegan alternatives are also on par with the others. - Why isn't the place called Queen Cheesecake?

The coffee and the roastery are especially well-known in the city, but the wonderfully creamy New York Cheesecake with a crumbly cookie base is the secret star. Although it would be worth the trip to Kreuzberg alone, it can now be found in three branches throughout the city - including KaDeWe. If that doesn't speak for itself...

In Barbara's kitchen, every dish is prepared by hand, already for over 10 years - all with much love. At that time still under the name "Barbaras Kaffeetafel" there were mainly sweets here. So also the delicious classic cheesecake. Its ingredients are regional and seasonal - and so there is the already fabulous classic cheesecake in the summer also dressed up with fresh fruit.

Patissier Norbert's wonderful pastries are all about flavor and really good ingredients. Given the incredibly creamy, gooey New York cheesecake from Black Apron, it's not surprising that the café was inspired by trips to the U.S. by the owners and team. All of the baked goods here are undoubtedly worthwhile, but the cheesecake is our obvious favorite, convincing not only with its creaminess, but also with a fine acidity and a crispy base of homemade graham cookies - available even more sinful than Cheesecake Brownie.

Cynthia Barcomi comes from New Haven in the USA and studied in New York. No wonder that her New York Cheesecake was not only one of the first to be sold in Berlin, but also one of the best. Their Classic Cheesecake is nice and creamy and not too sweet. More special versions like Cottage Cheesecake and Coconut Meringue are also exceptionally good. There's even a gluten-free version with a brownie base.

His creative and astonishingly beautiful cake creations have already found their way to the Spanish royal court. Whether Letizia and Co. have also tried the cheesecake, we don't know. But we like the taste of this classic coffee cake.

The patissiers at Jubel are infatuated with sweets and create real little works of art from sugar, butter and eggs out of this love. Popular classics such as cheesecake are interpreted in a modern way with a lot of creativity - for example in the form of a wonderfully fresh fresh goat cheese tart. The creations are guaranteed to taste as delicious as they look.

Annette Zeller knows a lot about her craft. No wonder, as she is a fourth-generation master baker. The recipe for her classic cheesecake comes from her father and master baker himself. The classic can be purchased at Markthalle Neun or made to order.

Owner Bravko grew up around the corner and is a true Kreuzberg original. In his cake workshop, all cakes and tarts are made by hand. Even the many excellent cheescake creations with blueberry, raspberry, nut caramel or even cherry and white chocolate benefit from the exclusively fresh, natural and high-quality ingredients.

The bakery of Lula am Markt is in operation every day, because everything comes fresh from the oven to the display almost around the clock. The cheesecake, more precisely a curd cake, optionally with blueberries and apple, comes here from the tray. Here, the cheese mixture, fruit and dough form a wonderful liaison, which, thanks to the tart yeast dough pulled into the cheese mixture, acquires a unique consistency and a mildly sweet aroma.
