Advertorial

It's winter, Berlin is grey, cold and rainy. The warm lights of Christmas have long disappeared from windows and trees, and the first rays of spring sunshine are still a long way off. This time of year calls for a cosy afternoon with a sauna, massage, etc., far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

In Berlin, there are beautiful oases of relaxation that soothe body and mind, where skilful hands, luxurious treatments, and soothing pools allow you to forget everyday life. From oriental hammams to elegant hotel spas and cold therapy, we have put together the most beautiful spas in Berlin for you and wish you a relaxing holiday!

Club Olympus at Hyatt

Relax and enjoy the peace and quiet in the sky above Berlin at the Club Olympus Spa in the Grand Hyatt. High above the city's rooftops, a large spa area with a pool with breathtaking views and a wonderful outdoor area await you. A Finnish sauna, a Turkish steam bath and a range of exclusive beauty treatments, massages and Far Eastern relaxation rituals ensure pure relaxation. The pool and whirlpool can also be booked exclusively for two hours for a little more nocturnal togetherness or solitude under the starry Berlin sky. If you fancy a cosy start to the day, the Sky Breakfast, including the use of the entire spa area, is just the thing.

Hotel de Rome Spa

The Hotel de Rome is located in the former headquarters of Dresdner Bank from 1889, and memories of this past can be found throughout the building. The spa area, for example, is located in the former vault - complete with gold leaf mosaic and heavy vault doors. Instead of gold and jewellery, guests can swim in the 20-metre-long pool - the longest hotel pool in the city. There is also a modern sauna and beauty centre for perfect relaxation away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. A Finnish sauna, a steam bath, a stalagmite ice fountain, a Kneipp pool and a spacious relaxation area make all stress disappear. For the ultimate relaxation for body and mind, the exclusive body and facial treatments, with luxurious and high-quality natural products from the hotel's own cosmetics line, are the perfect choice.

Waldorf Astoria Spa

If you are looking for luxurious pampering, you are guaranteed to find it at the Waldorf Astoria's award-winning spa. Spread over 1000 square metres, it offers everything you need for a perfect day of relaxation, far away from the stresses of everyday life. In the cloud-shaped pool, the Finnish sauna, the steam bath and on the terrace with a view over Charlottenburg, stress disappears with every sauna session. Of course, personalised beauty treatments have also been developed exclusively for the Waldorf Astoria in cooperation with Babor and Ground Wellbeing. Whether for relaxation or revitalisation - luxurious pampering awaits you.

Ono Spa

High above Postdamer Platz, the ONO Spa in the Mandala Hotel is the perfect oasis of relaxation amidst the hustle and bustle of the city. Thanks to the wide range of customisable wellness treatments, the ONO Spa has something for everyone. All facial and body treatments focus on restoring harmony between the inside and outside. Only natural luxury care products from Team Dr Josef are used for all cosmetic treatments, which provide particularly gentle and holistic care. The massages are just as all-encompassing and carefully considered. Whether classic or individual, alone or as a couple - luxurious relaxation for body and soul is guaranteed.

MyWellness

MyWellness on Kurfürstendamm is particularly romantic and quiet. Instead of having to fight for loungers in the sometimes overcrowded spa and relaxation rooms and listening to the everyday dramas of other visitors in the sauna, MyWellness offers you your own little wellness area. Each suite has its own sauna, whirlpool, cooling area and, depending on the suite category, a hydro-jet massage bed and/or an infrared sauna or shower. The entire ambience, including the music, lighting and infusions, can be customised via a touch panel. As the icing on the cake of relaxation, drinks and snacks can also be ordered into the suite - contactless, of course. Perfect for romantic togetherness or quiet time with up to four friends.

Cowshed Spa

The Cowshed Spa in Soho House is hard to beat in terms of exclusivity. It provides an exceptional relaxation experience away from the hustle and bustle of the city with its modern facilities and design. The treatments range from classic facial and body treatments, sauna and a traditional hammam to a wide variety of massages. Only products from the beauty label Cowshed are used for all treatments. The British label deliberately avoids ingredients that are not of natural origin and places great importance on using essential oils to create fragrances that appeal to body, mind and soul.

Befine Spa

A true wellness oasis also awaits at the BeFine Spa in the Titanic Hotel am Gendarmenmarkt. Wellness worlds are waiting to be explored on several levels. Of course, there are the classics here: a dry sauna - albeit with an ice fountain, a steam bath and cosy relaxation areas. The BeFine Spa also has an oriental hammam with traditional treatments. Whether a classic, hot stone or short but intensive foot massage, you are guaranteed to find what you are looking for here. The range of facial and cosmetic treatments is just as varied. The perfect way to pass the time on a rainy day in grey Berlin.

Kältelounge

The Kältelounge in Steglitz is a little less cosy and much colder. Instead of sweating in the hot sauna and relaxing in the warm whirlpool, you can freeze here - with the proper personalised care, of course. Cryotherapy or cold therapy involves spending just a few minutes in a "cold sauna" at temperatures as low as - 150 °C. Cold therapy is said to increase general well-being and positively affect general health. So, if you are short on time or simply curious about something new, a few minutes in the cold is just the thing for you.

Liquidrom

Relaxation for all the senses is on offer at Liquidrom in Kreuzberg. Where other spas rely on the classic pool, the Liquidrom goes one step further to create a truly immersive experience. In the domed hall, minimalist architecture, light, music, and warm salt water merge uniquely - also thanks to underwater music - and take everyone on a journey to complete relaxation. In combination with various saunas, steam baths and treatments, there is hardly a better place to focus on your own well-being and forget everything else for a short time.

Hamam Berlin

The Hamam in Kreuzberg was the first Turkish bath in Germany and is only open to women. Since 1988, body and soul have been cared for and cleansed in traditional treatments in the spirit of oriental hamam culture. A visit to the Hamam is so much more than just cleansing. The Hamam is a place to come together, relax and feel good. During the traditional treatments, such as the sabunlama (foam massage) and the kese (full-body scrub), as well as a stay in the sauna, the infrared cabin and the relaxation areas, body and soul relax in equal measure.
