Poliform Varenna Customized Interior Concepts

Via Dopo Domani and its online store, I came across Italian furniture brand Poliform Varenna's Berlin showroom. Being another one of interior designer duo Arno Schneider and Claudia Ruhsek's projects, it absolutely deserves a write-up within our special series Interior Design in Berlin.

I visited the store last Saturday and met a familiar face right away: Thomas Jarnicki-Specht. He's been part of Arno Schneider's tremendously helpful customer consultants from the very beginning and still takes time to answer any question or to plan out interior concepts for spaces from private apartments to large-scale projects.

Support comes from a well-coordinated group of staffers, mechanics and craftsmen whose single goal it is to realize the customized design concept that have been put down on paper. This is of special advantage for clients looking to apply a consistent style throughout their living space.

Poliform Varenna's extensive collection comprises entire furniture groups as well as individual pieces that can be put together to make for a very complete picture. Especially their kitchen designs come in a wide variety of materials and forms, thus offering endless possible combinations.

Ever since 1942, this Italian furniture maker's goal was to design classics combining timelessness with contemporary finesse. Which is why at this showroom on Torstraße, you find drawers practically opening by themselves, cabinet doors closing at the push of a button and integrated lighting systems shedding the right kind of light on your belongings.

It seems, however, as if I am not the only one enjoying this long tradition of first class design. Worldwide, in places such as New York's Time Warner Center, the President's Room at Clinton Library in Little Rock or inside the Palmolive Building in Chicago, pieces by Poliform Varenna have found their stage. Good style knows no boundaries!

Reverently, I run my hands over the newly arrived solid wood veneer cabinet samples to get a good feel of the surface. I go on to discover a group of antique wooden stools, tableware by 'Reichenbach', comic-like figurines by 'Lladró Atelier', I walk over a 'cc-tapis' carpet and examine a beautiful lamp by 'Brokis' that I've marvelled at during every visit at The Stue. I could spend forever being surrounded by beautiful things! And Poliform Varenna Berlin is yet another perfect setting for them.
