Galerie Kornfeld
Fasanenstraße 26

.How to get there
Seven years ago, Alfred Kornfeld and his partners Anne Langmann and Mamuka Bliadze opened Galerie Kornfeld. Since then, artists such as Christopher Lehmpfuhl, Hubertus Hamm, Stéphane Couturier, Tamara Kvesitadze, Susanne Roewer, Jan Tichy and more have discovered a place where they can emotionally experience their work on the 160 m2 exhibition space and in a garden for sculptures.
Personally working with people is the part of the daily routine at the gallery which appeals to its owner the strongest. He not only wishes to make his artists visible in the world, but also to provide them with a permanent spot on the art market. Internationally successful artists who are less known in Germany are taken care of with great passion.
"Rediscovery positions" from the 60s, 70s and 80s like Natela Iankoshvili or Berlin artist Jürgen Draeger are also shifting more and more into focus. Here, the emotional perception of their work is important - along with references to the history of art as well as the meaning of the pieces in the future.
According to Kornfeld, the aesthetic approach and concept should always form a whole. Other than technical competence, both communication and the love of art and people play an important role for the owner. The development of the lesser known artists has its own special fascination.
This is featured on a platform in project room 68 Projects vis-à-vis Galerie Kornfeld. Both areas are perceived as places for inspiring encounters between collectors and like-minded people. An area where artists can deal with their works of art.
"We try to move people both emotionally and mentally with the artistic positions we display", Kornfeld says. - At international exhibitions such as Frieze New York, Art Dubai or regional exhibition Art Karlsruhe, where you can present yourself in the first two quarters of this year alone, as well.
