Knit Knit The most beautiful knitting shop in Berlin’s golden center

Though opened only September of last year, Knit Knit in Berlin Mitte has a reputation that goes as far as Norway. It all started with a small scarf and hat collection called 'Nina Knits'. This collection of graphic designer Nina Schweisgut was so successful that she decided to offer her simple knitting patterns and her choice of perfectly corresponding wool as special Knit Kits online.

But destiny had other plans: it so happened, that a retail space became available right in front of her home, and her first wool-concept store took off with success. From day one excited clients flocked to see her thoughtful products. Of course the wool was especially interesting – some of it custom made in Italy. There were knitting needles from Australia, wool from Peru and the most beautiful home accessories made of wool.

Her knitting courses created a true Berlin Mitte knitting community. Almost every German newspaper wrote about her and even a Norwegian Blog mentioned Knit Knit, which brought a whole bus of Norwegian women to visit her store. Sounds a bit exaggerated? Well, it really is like that! The 36-year old struck a chord in the DIY community with her concept. Paired with her sense of beautiful objects and real excitement for her cause and her outgoing personality, Knit Knit is a hit!
