.How to get there

Wherever you look, it looks delicious at Babu's Bakery & Coffeehouse. In the refrigerated display case, all the fine treats are ready for takeaway: various salads, oriental couscous with apricots, grilled vegetables and peppermint yoghurt, sandwiches, original Bircher muesli with pear and apple, quark cups with mixed berries, Greek yoghurt with honey and almonds, accompanied by chilled lemonades and iced teas.

The display of the sales counter also offers a lavish selection of delicacies, making it difficult to decide between cheesecake, poppy seed cake, chocolate cake, raspberry slice, Belgian waffles, spicy oat cookies, carrot cake, salmon bagel, "Biberli" or focaccia with parmesan and zucchini.

All of this is homemade at Babu's and tastes genuinely wonderful. With three locations in Zurich now, everyone is guaranteed to find something delicious and nutritious to take away. On the other hand, the venues are too cozy and charming to devour the fine sandwiches, homemade pastries, or fresh juices on the go.

The third branch, which opened in February in Wiedikon, for example, offers plenty of delights for the eyes as well. Interior designer Hanya Leo was inspired by the history of the NZZ main building and created a modern and inviting venue with terrazzo floors, linoleum tables, and a long, curved counter made of glass bricks.

Looking through the spacious windows, you can enjoy a freshly baked quiche for a quick lunch or a delicious apple-cinnamon swirl for a tasty coffee break. Babu's is a favourite destination for many occasions and times of day, but especially Sunday brunch has not only won us over - we highly recommend making a reservation!

There are temptations such as blueberry pancakes with maple syrup, wonderfully mixed cheese platters, and fresh rösti. Or you can have one of the lavishly stocked Babu's étagères served, filled with a wide selection of delicious dishes. On weekends, the popular "Zopf" is also available on it. Without eggs, and of course, homemade.
