Those who seek to get an impression of the Wiener Werkstätte and their achievements during the first decade of the past century, are offered two choices. One is a visit to the museum – the other, much more comfortable and luxurious one is to just sleep in it.
The bathrooms are 1930s eyecandy, some of which allow for daylight to contribute its part. Oppulent blinds render the scene even more decadent and comfortable. The setting invites you to snuggle up in tightly woven sheets or curl op on the divan by the window and overlook the hustle and bustle of the street.
This hotel neither has a restaurant, spa nor gym – but taking advantage of the minibar is included in your rate, and a beautiful lounge in the basement offers snacks, fresh coffee, tea and a lovely selection of wines at your disposal throughout the day.
I especially like that there are no more than four rooms on each floor. Those rooms, are not even strikingly big, but all the more charming and comfortable as ever. And that is ultimately what this hotel comes down to: intimate and luxurious!
