Störtebeker Elbphilharmonie Feasting at the kitchen party

A jazz band, a view of the harbour, high-quality wine, and good food. These are just some of the ingredients for the "Kitchen Party" success at the Störtebeker Elbphilharmonie. On 22 October, it was finally time again for the party of a particular kind - and we were there!

On a few evenings a year, Phillip Stapel and his team invite you to look over their shoulder while they cook. In addition, the restaurant and bar are transformed into a marketplace with stalls where guests can sample culinary delicacies, wines and liqueurs and, of course, Störtebeker beer from Stralsund to their heart's content.

Gnocchi with truffles, pulled pork bao buns or fresh oysters: the kitchen party is suitable for anyone who wants to chow down on something from the menu. At small stands, the Störtebeker team and guests invite you to try something - and we're happy to do so! Here a glass of non-alcoholic wine from Kolonne Null, there a schnapps from St. Killian Distillers and, of course, a treat from chocolate world champion Angela Evers.

With a glass of wine in hand, we stroll into the kitchen, watch the chefs prepare poussins and scallops with celery puree, and gladly dig in when it's our turn. A party entirely to our taste!

At Störtebeker, you can also learn about the art of brewing on several dates a year. The beer sommelier team imparts knowledge about raw materials, the brewing process and the variety of flavours at tastings. In addition to classic beer tastings, there are also "beer and cheese" and "beer and chocolate" formats. Perhaps that would also make a lovely Christmas present...
