Slowly but surely, the coziest part of the year begins. We love candlelight, Advent anticipation and that very special mood that the weeks leading up to the holidays bring. A common phrase we hear these days is, "We really need to see each other before Christmas!" And nothing, in our opinion, brings people together quite like good food (alright, and a glass of wine or two).

While Corona numbers are just now rising steeply again, many still want a Christmas party this year. Even in our (fully vaccinated) team, we look forward to a cozy get-together. And who can blame us after the last one and a half years. Maybe with some games, maybe just a festive dinner will do.

It's not just with the team that a festive get-together is worthwhile; even with a steady circle of friends you rarely see or family members who split up over the holidays, a get-together in December can be wonderfully cozy. After all, nothing is nicer than sitting down together over a fine meal. It doesn't have to be the very big get-together....  With the right setting, a fine meal and - of course - the right people around, it won't be any less festive for that reason!

Terz Dinner Berlin (2)

Terz

When the news reached us that Terz now also invites you to the table in the evening, we immediately followed the call. Beautiful rooms, table spots which individually illuminate the tables create a wonderfully dim and cozy atmosphere, and wonderfully creative, seasonal food from the region is served.

It goes without saying that the Christmas menu for groups is also convincing: duck liver parfait (guaranteed not to be stuffed!), chestnut soup, roast venison and baked apple with vanilla sauce sound to be knocked down. No less delicious is the vegan version with mushroom parfait and celery with hazelnut. Enough gushing, we can't wait! By the way, Terz also opens exclusively for large groups on evenings outside of regular opening hours.

Restaurant Pots Advent (2)

Restaurant Pots

Most recently, Christopher Kujanski wowed us at the Pots restaurant at the Ritz-Carlton with a menu that left us amazed. The cuisine is inspired by classic German dishes, and the patron is renowned Michelin-starred chef Dieter Müller. It's clear that one dish here is more delicious than the other - but believe us, you should definitely try the cod with cauliflower and pear!

In addition to the food, the extremely cozy setting is also a delight: lots of copper creates a cozy lighting atmosphere, comfortable chairs and such warm service that you'll want to order another round of sparkling wine (which tastes delicious, by the way) and extend the evening. In addition, the central location at Potsdamer Platz ensures that the way home remains manageable for everyone.

The NOname Berlin Mitte (5)

The NoName

Five-meter-high stucco ceilings, long curtain scarves and the larger-than-life bondage lady indicate right from the start that The NOname right next to the Heckmannhöfe is something special. Here, history and present, the old and the new are interwoven in a culinary and fun-loving way.

Under the motto "NO limits, NO boundaries", the casual fine dining restaurant creates a delicious bridge to today's Berlin, its subculture, its tolerance. The Secret Table in the restaurant's séparée invites you to leave your comfort zone and dedicate yourself to indulgence. Perfect for a sophisticated round.

Restaurant Lausebengel Berlin-Kreuzberg-Interieur2

Lausebengel

What better way to create a good mood than delicious food and lots of beer? Exactly! Just this summer we fell in love again with this Kreuzberg corner steeped in history. Janosch and Tim serve Berlin cuisine meant for sharing alongside a wide selection of beers from a total of ten taps in their eatery.

The flavors range from matjes to blood sausage croquettes to - yes, really - beer butter. A good beer and delicious food; what more could you want? We especially recommend the coconut or pineapple cider produced exclusively for the Lausebengel. But beware - dangerously tasty!

Winteroase auf dem Pfefferberg (Aufnahme aus 2020)

Kink Bar and Restaurant

Restaurant Kink and Café Frank have impressed us this year with their picture-perfect setting on Pfefferberg. What could be more natural than to transform the idyllic area in Prenzlauer Berg into a tranquil winter oasis? Starting on Thursday, November 25, the Pfefferberg team (led by Kink bar chef Arun Naagenthira Puvanendran and Frank pâtissière Fabienne Dauplay) will be tempting visitors to the small Christmas market with Advent food and drink every day. On weekends, there are also local arts and crafts and Berlin designers.

Perfect for a casual round in an informal atmosphere, to which a Hot Aperol will certainly also contribute.
