Sun Day Burgers Vegetarian Feast

Lilith Rudhart is among those who quit their longtime professions to pursue a career closer to their personal interests and ideals. In 2010, the former actress first became vegan and, a while later, her own boss by opening up a vegan food truck. She went on to take on a permanent food stand at Markthalle Neun, and subsequently received her first commissions for vegan caterings and lectures on dieting and vegan cuisine.

Yesterday was my second time at her Markthalle Neun snack joint, and I treated myself to a mouth-watering vegan burger made up of a gluten-free bun and a fried tofu patty. Along with fresh salad, cucumbers, beetroot, sprouts and cilantro, there's a variety of homemade sauces to choose from: Chipotle Chilli Sauce, Peanut Coconut Sauce and Mango Chutney. Crispy buns, zesty sauces and juicy burgers – simply the best!

For dessert we had a slice of avocado key lime pie and a piece of cheesecake that is made with fermented cashews. Unbelievable, really, how good it was, and might I say, it tasted even better than real New York Cheesecake! All of the ingredients used by Lilith Rudhart are organic and regional, and they're healthy and delicious. What more could you ask for! “I want to bring my customers closer to vegan cuisine and make them curious for more”, she says and well, it definitely worked on us!
