Moules Frites Pop-Up by Mädchenitaliener

Especially in the winter months, mussels are in high season. They are a true classic of Belgian cuisine and neighboring regions - and where Belgium is mentioned, fries are naturally not far away. A big steaming pot of moules-frites is simply something delicate. You can see that at Mädchenitaliener restaurant in Mitte.

That's why the adjacent beer garden on Mulackstraße, just around the corner from Mädchenitaliener in Mitte, has had a food truck for a few weeks now. The selection is not too extensive, but fresh fish'n'chips, moules-frites, and French fries are offered. 

You can also move into the beer tent, so you don't have to eat your portion of hearty seafood with deep-fried potato delights in the cold. It's cozy there thanks to heat lamps, fairy lights, and - our absolute favorite thing - a hammock. Of course, a glass of cava is the perfect accompaniment - but a good beer is also quite welcome with mussels and chips. True kitchen classics simply make a good team.
