Bombay Café Bunty’s Modern Indian Cuisine in Charlottenburg

It hasn’t even been two months since the restaurant Bombay Café Bunty’s opened on Charlottenburg’s Knesebeckstrasse, and already it’s considered one of the best Indian restaurants in the city.

The owner and a true foodie, Suhasish Chakraborty, a.k.a. Bunty, couldn’t find authentic Indian cuisine anywhere in Berlin, and decided to open his own restaurant. He flew in an excellent chef from his hometown, and together they developed a menu full of personal favourites.

The ingredients used at Bombay Café Bunty’s are delivered daily. Nothing is cooked in advance. Vegetables and meats are always first simmered in the tandoor oven, and later added to the sauces. All dishes could be found on the streets of Bombay just as they are, emphasises the restaurant’s owner, Bunty.

Next to classics, of which there are also vegan and vegetarian variations, there are some seasonal changes to the menu. The wonderfully seasoned starters confirm the good reputation of Bombay Café Bunty’s. From the appetisers to the mains – it’s a firework of aromatics.

After just a few weeks, celebrities, neighbours and guests from faraway places are among the elated regulars. And the audience is very diverse: young and old, scene-setters and traditionists – at Bombay Café Bunty’s everyone that loves Indian food leaves happy!
