.How to get there
I am in love. It happened a couple of days ago in Semperstreet no. 2. Entering the Kalason shop blew me off my feet. In a confined space one can get amazing home accessories, which will make your own 4 walls colourful, cheerful and cozy. Everything originates from Scandinavia except a few jolly fluffy toys from England. You can find candle holders from Oyoy, wooden hooks from Normann, pillows from Place de Bleu, crockery from Green Gate. No Swedish country home romanticism, no kitsch, but modern design, graphical patterns, colourful and very cool.
It’s obviously that Katharina Langewender has a feeling for design. It’s her profession: the sympathetic owner studied graphic design. The original greeting cards are all designed by her. Nostalgic children’s crockery, crocheted dolls, funny drinking bottles from Norway, blankets, boxes and children’s suitcases let the hearts of our little ones beat faster.
Even for adults it is difficult to resist the tempting liquorice candies and strawberry jelly bears from the self-service shelves. I depart with a stunning scarf from Becksondergaard and an A. U Maison’s necessaire and I am extremely exited to visit again.
