Hermès Dreamy Silk at KaDeWe

It's done! Hermès has moved into KaDeWe and adds to the department store's luxury. The opening is accompanied by the breathtaking exhibition "Silk Moments".

Artist Hilton McConnico's installations take the visitor on a journey alongside a little boy and turn the atrium's platform into an art museum. All the while, the ten rooms give an insight into the artist's vast array of work that he took full advantage of and translated into creative little worlds made of colorful silk scarfs. I cannot remember another opening at KaDeWe as memorable as this one.

The boutique itself stayed true to its light and straight lined character and, along with the Hermès store on Kurfürstendamm, now offers even more fine leather and silk goods, prêt-à-porter fashion and home accessories. And since the exceptionally beautiful display windows on Tauentzien will remain decorated through October 2011, you should definitely go as long as the exhibit is on.
