Unbelievable but true, it's finally getting warm in the summer. With higher temperatures, a delicious ice cream finally tastes the way it should: ice cold, fresh and aromatic.
Since last year, Der Eisladen in Wiedikon has been offering the finest ice cream in creatively unusual flavours and produced without artificial additives, colours or flavours.
Now the ice cream shop is also available on wheels: Near the Fritschiwiese and opposite the Idaplatz in District 3 and the premises of the PoliBar, the team around the founders Rick Griesche and Philipp Früh now offers their unusual and homemade ice cream varieties in style from the turquoise-coloured ice cream van.
From white chocolate, tonka bean and cashew to pistachio nougat or mascarpone blackberry brownie, from wonderfully fruity raspberry-mint sorbet to chocolate sorbet, every single scoop is a treat that tastes like summer. Brand new and easy to take away are the tried and tested Coupe classics such as the Banana Split or the Coupe Denmark, just reinterpreted a little.
And the highlight of the ice cream van? The fresh doughnuts, of course, but filled with ice cream. Hot outside, ice cream inside. First, these glacé doughnuts are filled with individually selected ice cream and then carefully baked à la minute. Opposites attract, as we all know, and this is particularly irresistibly delicious in the hot and cold Glacé-Berliner.
