All good things come in threes. In terms of parks worth visiting in Munich, we can definitely recommend the casual Westpark, in addition to the stately Nymphenburg Schlosspark and the lively Englischer Garten.

Located in Sendling, the green park extends over 60 hectares and offers lush vegetation, tranquil lakes, but also a romantic rose garden with over 500 different varieties.

Another highlight: a lake stage that provides the perfect backdrop for the popular open-air spectacle Cinema, Moon & Stars in summer. In the semi-circular amphitheatre made of natural stone with a view of the water, independent movies and blockbusters can simply be enjoyed to the fullest.

The Asian area next to the lake stage with a Japanese and Chinese garden, Buddha statue and wooden pagoda also conjures up some holiday flair. The Westpark also has a lot to offer in the way of culinary delights - whether it's a hip Bauwagen café, a quaint beer garden or practical food stands with Steckerlfisch and drinks to go.

For those who want more action, Westpark is the perfect place to get some exercise. There are football pitches and basketball courts, as well as enough open grass areas for a game of volleyball or football and a gymnastics meadow, where Qi Gong, Zumba or yoga are offered in summer.

If you are a member of the Urban Sports Club Munich, you will also find a wide range of outdoor fitness offers in the Westpark - from functional training to buggy workouts. Beautiful nature, good food and great sports opportunities - all good things come in threes.
