B-Lage Pop-Up as a concept

B-Lage in the Schanzenviertel is a concept store that has set itself the task of offering creative people and start-ups a presentation space. While you can continuously buy a similar range of goods from small manufacturers in the shop, there are always new designs and innovative concepts to discover in the in-house pop-up space.

With B-Lage, Vanessa Janneck has created an exceptional place in the heart of Schanze. The communication studies graduate launched her own fashion label Vanewonderland back in 2011 and has become familiar with the hurdles that often stand in the way of young creatives.

Shop space, in particular, is a common problem in Hamburg and rents are often unaffordable. So in 2015, she founded the B-Lage Store, with which she is driving an innovative mixed concept. The premises are divided into two parts.

On the one hand, B-Lage is a shop for all kinds of designs from small brands, manufacturers and artists. There are shirts and socks, art prints and glasses, books and plates, herbal-scented candles and Christmas tree baubles in the shape of French rolls.

The display in the bright shop is loosely arranged. The selection of designer pieces adorns individual shelves, tables and walls, making browsing fun without seeming cluttered. The pieces are young and cheeky and thus fit perfectly into the Schanzenviertel.

However, rental space is notoriously scarce there, so a fixed component of the B-Lage is the pop-up space, where goods and events of all kinds are offered. There is space for product releases, PR events, workshops or simply pop-ups that invite you to discover, participate and network.

With a heart for design and the minds behind it, Vanessa Janneck runs her B-Lage store, offering newcomers a chance in a highly competitive environment. An exciting concept!
