In Pöseldorf’s famous Milchstraße, Dane Brian Bojsen opened a restaurant that embodies the perfect combination of contrasts: here you’ll find top-quality meat and exquisite crustaceans, champagne and the best chips in the city, business casual and flip-flops, high-class Riviera mansion interior and old surfboards on the wall. Everything fits together and we look forward to a relaxed and enjoyable evening.

A glass of champagne- not to be passed up here- assists us in choosing our dishes. I conform to the concept of contrasts and order crayfish tail and a classic burger. My companion forgoes surf and goes for a double portion of turf: beef tartar as a starter and New York style sirloin steak for the main. My crayfish is a dream, and a large portion of one at that. In combination with the side salad with raspberry dressing and a spicy mango salsa, I’ve got a real winner here. My friend is also more than happy with the tender tarter with capers, caviar, and red onions.

Brian’s Steak & Lobster is the only restaurant in Hamburg to own an original Spanish Josper oven. Meat and fish are softly grilled over charcoals and adorned with a very special smoky flavour. It suits our mains perfectly. The 300 gram sirloin steak is tender and juicy, my Aberdeen Angus burger with caramelised onions wonderfully smoky. Alongside the fantastic meat, the sweet potato fries make for a compelling argument to come back again very soon.

The surfer-chic atmosphere and superb food have us convinced- just like the owner himself. Brian Bojsen stands behind his restaurant’s philosophy with passion and joy. The gastronomer, photographer, and pro surfer gets to look into the eyes of his satisfied guests every evening and be proud of how his beach house ambience welcomes those who want to escape the daily grind for one comfortable, relaxed evening.
