Milk Copenhagen Cheeky kids fashion from Denmark

In Denmark, Milk Copenhagen is already one of the hottest kids fashion labels in the country. In Zurich it has received instant success and has captured the hearts of the fashion conscious. For the first time last week I had the opportunity to see the collection and learn about the concept behind it. An exciting new discovery indeed!

The brand was founded by Danish Trine Mathiasen. She designs the whole collection herself, and with Milk Copenhagen, wants to "offer a little more luxury for your money". Therefore, she markets her children's fashion using the home shopping principle. Currently in Switzerland there are 23 representatives on the go, visiting interested mothers at home or inviting the public to Open House events, where the entire collection is on display and explained.

"The customers love that they can locally see the quality of individual items in the collection," explains Nicole Nielsen, the Swiss Managing Director of Milk Copenhagen. In addition, the orders and deliveries are coordinated by the agents, avoiding customs and other delivery costs. And should there be a problem in the end, the goods can easily be returned to the Swiss customer service.

Milk Copenhagen's style especially appeals to trendy and fashion-conscious mothers, with every collection consisting of classical pieces. The current autumn/winter fashion is inspired by bohemian and vintage styles, with a French touch. When Nicole provided more details about the current collection, I realized her passion to share this with her customers and to illustrate different combinations, although children almost usually create their own style.

My conclusion: A cool, new children's fashion label from Denmark with many comfortable pieces that can be casually and simply combined with each other. I definitely won’t miss next season either!
