Market on Winterfeldtplatz – Strolling without Rush

In between Wilmersdorf and Kreuzberg St. Matthias church stands out impressively on Winterfeldtplatz in Schöneberg. Surrounded by many bars, cafes and some of the best falafel places in town. Plenty of Berliner orginials, Berliners by choice and tourists browse around the area and the watches seems to tick slower here than elsewhere. The hecticness of everyday life is forgotten and in the midst of this tranquillity: the market on Winterfeldtplatz.

The view of the fresh offerings while browsing from stall to stall is not only inspiring but also filling thanks to the many samplings. There are fresh vegetables and fruit, flowers, cheese, fresh bread, fish and much more. Most of it organic, because the operators of the stalls place big importance on the quality of their goods.

If you are not a big fan of cooking yourself, there are also many opportunities to eat right away. Hot and cold delicacies from Italy, Thailand, France and the rest of the world are offered. Even vegetarians and vegans don't have to worry about going home hungry. Our personal tip: Try Steckerlfisch from Jürgen Führgut.
